About
Family Business
London Agege bread bakers is a Nigerian family business which was started by the CEO Mr Stephen Ayantuga Easter 2004 to give Africans & Caribbean’s away from home a taste of home. We also provided an opportunity for young millennials to experience a taste of back home with fresh baked and cooked products.
For a long time, you could not obtain fresh African bread in the UK and with the rapid increase of Africans living in the UK, there was a need to supply it. We want to share the taste of home with the rest of the world as well as give the older generation that home feeling as well as great memories of growing up.

Founded on Deptford High street and the first Nigerian bakery in the UK, London Agege bread bakers has seen a rise that many doubted when Mr Stephen first decided to produce Nigerian bread in the UK and the growth has been exceptional.

In came his Children after graduating from law and business respectfully and their contributions have had a major impact as the business strives to greater heights with more brand awareness.
The bread distribution has grown all over the U.K, reaching cities such as Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds and is now eaten in many households throughout Europe such as France, Belgium, and Switzerland.
As one of the biggest brands in the U.K known for our signature soft Agege bread, with more popularity and brand awareness through quality and word of mouth the demand and mass production, we moved all production out of our Deptford shop to our factory in Charlton which led to more space, more production and more distribution for the bread helped us to open our second store in December 2014 in East Street Market, Camberwell. Our factory is consistently producing thousands of loaves a week, and with two retail stores in London, we have been able to add additional products to the Agege Family such as plantain chips and our sweet Chin Chin.
